With just over a week to go until Christmas, Newgistics is tracking towards a record holiday season. The volume of parcels we’ve processed this year is up significantly compared to the volume we had processed at this point in the season last year. What’s more impressive is that we’re handling this large increase in volume with stellar performance, meeting our commitments to customer for standard delivery with no expected delays. Our VP of Operations, Christopher Cartelli, attributes this outstanding performance to advance planning and great team work. “The leading retailers and brands we work with were all forecasting significant gains this holiday season as more and more consumers avoid the line at the mall in favor of the convenience of shopping online wherever and whenever they want,” said Cartelli. “Planning for this peak season started months ago with our customers, and thanks to strong forecasting, seamless collaboration with our partners and incredible support from our employees – at facilities across the country and in our corporate office – it’s shaping up to be a very good year.” Newgistics has been helping retailers deliver on the ease and convenience of the online shopping experience since the very early days of ecommerce, and it’s a role we’re proud to continue playing as more and more shopping goes online.
